The reigning Stanley Cup champions open their season hosting the Boston Bruins, a team they've knocked out of the last two Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Two years ago, Florida stunned Boston, who was the best regular season team in NHL history, in Game 7 overtime. Last year, the Panthers won their second-round series 4-2 on their way to winning the Stanley Cup.
Ahead of the new season, both teams are expected to be in the Eastern Conference playoff picture come the spring time. But first, both teams will look to get off to a winning start on Tuesday night.
Bruins vs. Panthers will air on ESPN, which is available on any service that carries the network, such as traditional cable, YouTube TV or fuboTV. In Canada, the game will air on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
Streaming will also be available on ESPN+.
Bruins vs. Panthers will begin at 7 PM ET on Tuesday, October 8 from Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
