Group C winners Benfica will face off against Chelsea in the round of 16 at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

After drawing their group stage opener with Boca Juniors 2-2, Benfica rattled off back-to-back wins over Auckland City and Bayern Munich, scoring seven goals and conceding zero in the process.

In their final group stage match, Benfica outlasted the Bundesliga champions in sweltering heat (104 F) in Charlotte, the site of their round of 16 clash with Chelsea, although slightly cooler temperatures are expected.

Chelsea lost their second group stage match to Flamengo, 3-1, but won convincingly against LAFC and Esperance to clinch their spot in the knockout stage.

Both sides will put out their best in this Club World Cup round of 16 clash on Saturday.
