Benfica host five-time UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona in the first leg of the Round of 16 on Wednesday afternoon.
Barcelona finished second in the league phase to earn an automatic berth to the Round of 16, while Benfica qualified via the Round of 32 playoff, defeating Monaco 4-3 on aggregate.
The Spanish side scored six more goals (28) than any other team in the league phase, with Robert Lewandowski (nine goals) and Raphinha (eight) leading the way.
Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis has been the standout for Benfica with seven goals in the competition so far, including a hat-trick against Barcelona in the league phase.
That match was arguably the most exciting of the entire league phase, with Barcelona emerging 5-4 winners in an end-to-end thriller in which Pavlidis, Lewandowski and Raphinha combined for seven goals.
