American tennis player Ben Shelton has the joint-ninth shortest odds to win the men's singles tournament at the 2025 Australian Open.
Shelton, the World No. 21, is +6600 to win the tournament ahead of the first round. He is priced the same as Joao Fonseca, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Holger Rune and Stefanos Tsitsipas, and he is the American with the second-shortest odds behind Taylor Fritz.

The 22-year-old Atlanta native made his Australian Open debut in 2023 and reached the quarterfinals, where he lost to fellow American Tommy Paul. Last year, Shelton was eliminated in five sets in the round of 32 by Adrian Mannarino.
His quarterfinal appearance in the 2023 edition was his best finish in a Grand Slam outside of the US, as he got to the semifinals of last year's US Open.
Throughout his brief career, Shelton has played his best tennis on hard courts. He has won 88 percent of service games and 69 percent of service points on the hard surface, but he struggles when returning opponents' serves as he wins just 16 percent of such games and 32 percent of such points.
Shelton still has his best years ahead of him, but he'll want to show improvement in his return game in his first tournament of the 2025 season. That could be the difference that finally gets him over the hill to win his first Grand Slam tournament and third-ever career title in Melbourne.
