Baylor and Auburn meet at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, on Saturday, September 5.
A neutral-site Week 1 matchup between Baylor and Auburn is the rematch of their 2025 season opener, where Auburn defeated Baylor 38-24 in Waco. Heading into this year's meeting, Auburn begins the Alex Golesh era, while Baylor returns Dave Aranda for his seventh season as head coach.
The spotlight will be on two new-look offenses, led by quarterbacks Byrum Brown and DJ Lagway. Brown reunites with his head coach Alex Golesh after producing 3,158 passing yards and 28 touchdowns at South Florida last season, while Lagway makes his Baylor debut after two seasons at Florida.
With both teams coming off losing seasons, Saturday's matchup offers an early opportunity to show how their offseason changes translate to the field.
Baylor will take on Auburn on Saturday, September 5, at 3:30 PM ET (2:30 CT).
The game will be broadcast on ABC for fans in the United States. Streaming will be available on Fubo.
