About 30% of the NFL is without a head coach, including the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens are part of a head coach-less group that includes the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and Arizona Cardinals.
We'll focus on the potential candidates for the Ravens and the odds associated with each coach below.
Jesse Minter | +190 |
Klint Kubiak | +375 |
Brian Flores | +550 |
Kevin Stefanski | +550 |
Robert Saleh | +700 |
Kliff Kingsbury | +800 |
Chris Shula | +1100 |
Mike McDaniel | +1200 |
Jeff Hafley | +2000 |
Mike LaFleur | +2000 |
After 18 seasons of John Harbaugh-led football in Baltimore, the legendary coach was relieved of his duties after the Ravens went 8-9 and failed to make the playoffs a little more than a week ago.
Harbaugh had a 180-113 regular season record, a 13-11 postseason record, reached four AFC Championship games, and won Super Bowl XLVII. He earned Coach of the Year honors in 2019 when Baltimore went 14-2.
However, a tendency to blow leads and disappointing playoff outcomes with superstar Lamar Jackson at quarterback led to his demise. There might have also been tension between he and Jackson throughout the year, though that is unconfirmed.
Jim Harbaugh disciple, Jesse Minter, is the +190 favorite to land his first career head coaching job in Baltimore. Minter, the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, led L.A. to a top-eight ranking in terms of points allowed and yards allowed per game, despite not much overwhelming talent.
Prior to the Chargers, he was with Jim at the University of Michigan in the same role. The Michigan - Baltimore pipeline is real (i.e. Mike Macdonald, Wink Martindale, Harbaugh), and Minter would fit right in.
The offensive minded Klint Kubiak (+375) would be a good hire as well. Question marks surrounding Todd Monken's play calling have Ravens fans antsy for a more creative offensive structure. Kubiak has led the Seattle Seahawks to a fantastic offensive season, and Baltimore may have more talent on that side than Seattle.
Former head coaches Brian Flores (+550), Kevin Stefanski (+550), Robert Saleh (+700), Kliff Kingsbury (+800), and Mike McDaniel (+1200) are all part of the top-ten favorites as well.
Flores and Saleh would bring a culture that would seem to work well in Baltimore, built on defense and toughness.
Stefanski, Kingsbury, and McDaniel would all bring an offensive expertise that could unlock Jackson and the Ravens offense to another level.
Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula (+1100) and Green Bay Packers DC Jeff Hafley (+2000) round out the rest of the defensive minds, while Rams offensive coordinator Mike Lafleur (+2000) could join his brother Matt as being a head coach in the NFL.
Whoever the next coach is will join a team that employs Jackson, Derrick Henry, Mark Andrews, Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and more while also picking No. 14 in the 2026 NFL Draft.
