The second leg of the “Sunshine Double” is here, as tennis’ best take the hard court in south Florida at the ATP Miami Open.
The tournament gets underway this week and runs until Sunday, March 30, when the men’s singles final takes place.
Less than a week removed from his maiden Masters 1000 win at the Indian Wells Open, Jack Draper is among the favorites to take the title again, but he’ll have the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and others to get through first.
The 2024 champion of this event, Jannik Sinner, will not participate this year as he serves a three-month suspension.
Let’s get into the latest outright odds for the men’s singles event at the Miami Open.
Carlos Alcaraz | +210 |
Novak Djokovic | +800 |
Alexander Zverev | +1000 |
Jack Draper | +1000 |
Daniil Medvedev | +1200 |
Alex De Minaur | +2000 |
Ben Shelton | +2200 |
Stefanos Tsitsipas | +2500 |
Taylor Fritz | +2500 |
Casper Ruud | +2800 |
2022 Miami Open champion Carlos Alcaraz (+210) is the favorite to win a sixth career ATP 1000 title this month in Florida.
The Spaniard fell short in the semifinal of last week’s Indian Wells, losing to the eventual champion Draper 1-6, 6-0, 4-6. The 21-year-old will be out for revenge against his rivals to reclaim his dominance on the hard court.
Novak Djokovic (+800), who is in his first Miami Open since 2019, is second-favorite to win what would be his 100th career men’s singles tournament and 7th at the second leg of the Sunshine Double.
Since losing in the Australian Open semifinal to Alexander Zverev, Djokovic has notably bowed out in the round of 32 in Doha and round of 64 at the Indian Wells, so the Serbian will be looking for a much better finish in Florida.
Australian Open finalist Zverev and last week’s Indian Wells champ Draper are joint-third in the betting at +1000, with Daniil Medvedev close behind at +1200.
All three are worthy of going all the way, as evidenced by the impressive Draper, who downed Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune on the way to the Indian Wells title.
Zverev has never won the Miami Open in nine attempts, while Medvedev won it in 2023 and was a semifinalist in 2024.
Alex De Minaur (+2000), Americans Ben Shelton (+2200) and Taylor Fritz (+2500), Stefanos Tsitsipas (+2500) and Casper Ruud (+2800) are all between 20/1 and 30/1, with Indian Wells runner-up Holger Rune at +3300.
