Astralis have announced the capture of AWP'er Asger "Farlig" Jensen, with the Dane joining on a free transfer several weeks after he was released by FunPlus Phoenix.
He will take over AWP'ing duties from Philip "Lucky" Ewald, who has struggled to make an impact at Astralis since filling the sniper role left by star player Nicolai "device" Reedtz in August 2021.
The swap can be of little surprise, given the moderate results that Astralis, and Lucky himself, have posted at recent tournaments. Failing to win a best of three at BLAST Premier Spring Groups, they were quickly dispatched in 7-8th place at IEM Katowice too.

Astralis will hope the signing of an established AWP'er will help them return to the lofty heights that saw them win a trio of majors on the spin.
Given "device"'s talent, he's impossible to replace, but Farlig has the potential to bring far more impact than what we've seen from Lucky in recent months.
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, who both joined November 2021, have impressed with their individual performances, and "Farlig"'s addition could help compliment the pair - who have been in desperate need of assistance in the fragging department.
Astralis are back in action at ESL Pro League Season 14 in late March, where they'll take on the likes of Natus Vincere and Heroic in a tricky group.
