Nine-time All-Star power forward/center Anthony Davis was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for superstar Luka Doncic, and the veteran could make his Mavs debut on Thursday night.
The Mavs take on the Boston Celtics on Thursday, and Davis is listed as questionable to play with a foot injury.
With the Lakers this season, Davis averaged 25.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.1 blocks while shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 29.8 percent from three in 34.3 minutes per game.
After years of playing center in LA, Davis is likely to slide to the power forward spot given the presence of centers Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II on the Dallas roster. While the PF position is sometimes ill-defined in the modern game thanks to positionless basketball, Davis' role will resemble that of the players synonymous with the position, such as Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett.
That means he'll spend much of his time in the low post next to a center while new teammates Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving, Max Christie, and even PJ Washington provide spacing.
Ahead of his potential Mavs debut against the Celtics on Thursday night, let's take a look at Davis' player props, lines and odds.
