Two of the highest-ranked teams in Men's College Basketball's toughest conference - the SEC - clash on Wednesday night when the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (17-3, 6-1 SEC) visit the No. 14 Mississippi State Bulldogs (16-4, 4-3 SEC).
The Bulldogs are just 2-3 in their last five games, and four were against ranked teams. Mississippi State beat then-No. 21 Ole Miss but lost to then-No. 6 Kentucky, then-No. 1 Auburn and then-No. 6 Tennessee before its latest win at unranked South Carolina in overtime.
Alabama has won three straight since suffering its last loss, a 10-point defeat to Ole Miss. Since then, the Crimson Tide have beaten then-No. 8 Kentucky and unranked teams in Vanderbilt and LSU.
