Aaron Judge, the reigning American League MVP, leads the New York Yankees into the 2025 MLB season on Thursday, March 27th when the team hosts the Milwaukee Brewers.
Judge dominated at the plate last season, leading MLB in WAR (10.8), home runs (58), RBI (144), walks (133), on-base percentage (.458), slugging percentage (.701) and OPS (1.159).
He also dominated in the underlying numbers, leading the league in average exit velocity (96.2 MPH), hard hit rate (61.0 percent), expected weighted on-base average (.479) and walk rate (18.9 percent). He finished the season with the fourth-lowest chase rate (18.7) percent, further showing his elite plate discipline, especially when paired with his power.
This season, Judge faces a greater challenge now that he won't have fellow superstar Juan Soto in front of him in the lineup. But Judge put up near-identical numbers in his 2022 MVP-winning campaign when no one else in the Yankees lineup had an offensive WAR rating above 3.1.
Ahead of Thursday's game, which will give us a very early look at whether or not Judge can repeat as AL MVP, let's take a look at the Yankees star's player props, lines and odds against the Brewers.
