The Presidents' Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets got off to a fast start in the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs as they won the first two games of their first-round series against the St. Louis Blues, but it's now tied up at 2-2 after consecutive STL wins.
Winnipeg won Game 1, bouncing back from a 2-3 deficit entering the third period to turn it into a 5-3 win. Kyle Connor netted the winner with just over 90 seconds left in the game, and Adam Lowry scored the insurance goal on an empty net with less than a minute left.
Game 2 saw the score tied 1-1 entering the final frame, and Connor scored the game-winner once again, this time off an assist from the scorer of the Jets' first goal in the game, Mark Scheifele.
But, the Blues found their groove as soon as they hit home ice. They won Game 3 by a 7-2 score and took Game 4 5-1. Jets star goaltender Connor Hellebuyck got pulled from both games, and his .817 save percentage this series is 10.8 percentage points worse than his regular-season save percentage of .925.
