The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves are facing off in the second round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, and the Dubs have the early advantage after winning Game 1.
Both teams shot below 40.0 percent from the field in Game 1, which ended in a 99-88 Warriors win.
Buddy Hield led all scorers with 24 points, followed by 20 for Jimmy Butler and 18 for Draymond Green. Stephen Curry was held to 13 points in just under 13 minutes as he left the game in the first half with a hamstring strain.
After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said, "it's hard to imagine" that Curry will play in Game 2 due to the nature of the injury.
Anthony Edwards led Minny in scoring with 23 points, and Naz Reid and Julius Randle had 19 and 18, respectively. The T-Wolves out-scored the Warriors 57-55 in the second half with Curry out, but it wasn't enough to seal the series-opening win.
