The Big Ten is one of the most storied conferences in all college sports, and its Men's Basketball landscape will look different in 2024/25 as a result of key players leaving for the NBA and new programs joining the conference.
Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington are the new teams in the conference, and all are based on the West Coast. Only one of the four new teams - the UCLA Bruins - are among the favorites to win the conference in their first season in the Big Ten.

Last year's Big Ten regular season champions and eventual national runners up, the Purdue Boilermakers, are favored to win the conference again despite losing two-time Wooden Award winner and 7-foot-4 center Zach Edey to the NBA. Guards Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith are back, as is forward Trey Kaufman-Renn.
The Indiana Hoosiers are second in the odds after finishing tied for sixth last season. They added center Oumar Ballo from Arizona through the transfer portal, and Malik Reneau, Mackenzie Mgbako and Trey Galloway all return after being key players last season.
The Michigan State Spartans, still coached by Tom Izzo, are tied for third in the odds with Big Ten newcomers UCLA.
For the Spartans, Jaden Akins, Jeremy Fears, Trey Holloman, and Carson Cooper all return, and they landed a highly-regarded transfer in Frankie Fidler from Omaha.
The Bruins landed one of the top-ranked transfers this offseason, Kobe Johnson, who crossed the divide from USC to join UCLA. They also brought in forward Eric Dailey from Oklahoma State, and they bring back last year's top scorer Dylan Andrews, 7-foot-3 center Aday Mara, and last year's third-leading scorer Sebastian Mack.
Further back in the market, between 9/1 and 20/1, are the Illinois Fighting Illini, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Maryland Terrapins, Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans.
The teams entering the season with the longest odds are the Wisconsin Badgers, Northwestern Wildcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, Washington Huskies, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Penn State Nittany Lions and Minnesota Golden Gophers.
