The WNBA Finals are set, and the series features the Minnesota Lynx taking on the New York Liberty.
The Liberty, led by a star trio of Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones, lost in four games to the Las Vegas Aces in last year's Finals, but they beat the Aces in the semifinals this year.
The Lynx won a Game 5 decider against the Connecticut Sun in the semifinals. Minnesota is led by 2024 Defensive Player of the Year Napheesa Collier, who is averaging 27.1 points per game with 1.1 steals and 2.0 blocks through seven games in these playoffs.
New York ended the regular season with a 32-8 record to secure the No. 1 seed, and Minnesota finished second in the league with a 30-10 record.
The Lynx led the league in three-point percentage and assists while holding its opponents to the lowest average field goal percentage in the WNBA. The Liberty scored the second-most points per game, allowed the third-fewest per game, committed the fewest fouls and shot the most threes.
