Highest NFL Team Win Totals

San Francisco 49ers - 11.5

Last season’s runners-up, the 49ers are once again expected to be one of the NFL’s top teams in 2024.

San Fran has surpassed 12 wins in three of its past five seasons. General Manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have found the formula to succeed, and, at times, dominate the rest of the league.

With the full cast of characters – including Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Nick Bosa, Fred Warner and more – returning in 2024, the Niners should once again be among the NFL’s best teams.

Kansas City Chiefs - 11.5

Who can stop the Chiefs?

In 2023, Kansas City endured its worst regular season with Patrick Mahomes at starting QB, and they still went 11-6 and won it all. Andy Reid’s team overcame regular season adversity to stamp their case as the NFL’s newest dynasty.

The Chiefs have rattled off nine-straight 10+ win seasons, six of which ended with 12 wins or more. As long as Mahomes and Reid are on the field and sideline, respectively, it does not look like the Chiefs will be slowing down any time soon.

Baltimore Ravens - 11.5

The NFL’s best regular season team in 2023, the Ravens’ season ended in a devastating home defeat to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. To many, it discounted what an incredible season the team and MVP-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson had.

The Ravens have won 10+ games in five of the last six seasons, including 13 in 2023.

But unlike the two teams above, Baltimore plays in a division where any team can realistically make the playoffs. So if they’re to duplicate the success of last season, it will take a monumental effort.

Lowest NFL Team Win Totals

Carolina Panthers - 4.5

Last year was a downright embarrassing season for the Carolina Panthers. It’s hard to be convinced things will be much different in 2024.

2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young, who Carolina traded up to draft, did not look the part in his rookie season. There is still time to develop, but when you compare him to No. 2 pick C.J. Stroud, it’s tough not to believe Carolina made the wrong decision.

Not to mention, they traded their 2024 first-rounder – which is now the No. 1 overall pick – to the Bears in that deal.

New England Patriots - 5.5

The start of the 2024 season marks the birth of a new era for the New England Patriots.

For the first time in 25 years, Bill Belichick will not be the head coach for the NFL’s most successful franchise. Instead, former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo is at the helm.

New England went 4-13 last year, its fewest wins since 1992. They’ll have a new quarterback come Week 1, but it remains to be seen whether they can rebound from their recent demise, especially with no more Belichick.

Denver Broncos - 5.5

The Broncos parted ways with Russell Wilson this offseason just two years after signing the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback to a five-year, $242 million deal. At the time of writing, it is unclear who will start for Denver at quarterback in 2024 Week 1.

Outside of the Wilson debacle, the Broncos have still been one of the NFL’s worst performing franchises for some time.

Since winning a ring in 2015, Denver has not made it back to playoffs while posting just one winning season. They have five seasons with double-digit losses since 2016.

Odds mentioned in this article were correct at the time of writing and are subject to change.
