2024 NBA Playoffs: Miami Heat +800 to win series after Game 2 win over Boston Celtics

The Miami Heat made a franchise playoff record 23 three-pointers in their Game 2 win to even the series against the top-seeded Boston Celtics.

Miami's odds to win the series moved to +800 as a result of the 111-101 win. The next two games of the series will be played in Florida.

Three of the Heat starters in Game 2 scored 20 points and all five starters finished the game with double digit points. Tyler Herro led all players in three-pointers made with six and in assists with 14.

The Heat shot 53.5 percent from three while the Celtics hit 37.5 percent of their threes in Game 2. During the regular season, Miami shot 37 percent from three while Boston shot 38.8 percent.

Miami entered the 2024 postseason with +35000 odds to win the Championship, and those have shortened to +20000 after Game 2. Their odds to win the Eastern Conference were +10000 before Game 1 and are now +8000.

Ahead of Game 3, Miami are +280 underdogs to win their first home game of the series.

They will have to go the whole series without superstar Jimmy Butler as he deals with a sprained knee. He ended the regular season tied for the team lead in points per game (20.8) and leading the team in assists per game (5.0) while shooting a career- and team-high 41.4 percent from three.
