2024 NBA Draft Odds: Where will Zach Edey land?

Where will Zach Edey, the 7-foot-4 center who won two Naismith College Player of the Year Awards in four years at Purdue, be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft?

Edey's draft position will be a compelling thing to watch. Some experts knock his inability to switch on defense due to a lack of mobility, while others praise his shooting touch and potential to score easy buckets even as a rookie.

In the 2024 college basketball season, Edey averaged 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks while shooting 62.3 percent from the field in 32 minutes per game. Edey led Purdue to the 2024 National Championship, where the team lost to UConn.

He shot over 60 percent from the field in his last three years at Purdue, and he averaged at least 30 minutes per game in his final two years there.

Edey is expected to be a Top 20 pick, for which he is -1000, but could rise to as high as a Top 10 pick, for which he is +275.

The Purdue star is shorter than 10/1 to picked at No. 9, 14, 19 and 20th overall, with the shortest odds (+600) to be picked at No. 9 overall, currently occupied by the Memphis Grizzlies.

No. 14 belongs to Portland, while No. 19 is Toronto and No. 20 Cleveland.

Long considered an elite college player with limited upside in the pros, it seems like Edey’s stock has risen even more than expected since the end of his historic 2023/24 season at Purdue.
