2024 MLB National League West Division Winner Odds

The Los Angeles Dodgers have the shortest odds to win their division of any MLB team entering the 2024 season.

And it's no secret why.

Will the addition of Shohei Ohtani guarantee an 11th division title in 12 years, or can another team spoil the party going on in Los Angeles?

Let's take a look at the leading teams to win the NL West ahead of the start of the 2024 MLB season.

MLB NL West 2024 - To Win Division

LA Dodgers

-550

ARI Diamondbacks

+800

SD Padres

+1000

SF Giants

+1000

COL Rockies

+15000

Los Angeles Dodgers -550

The Dodgers are massive favorites to win the NL West and +375 favorites to win the World Series for good reason.

Already boasting one of the best lineups in baseball, headlined by Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, LA went ahead and added all-world superstar Shohei Ohtani this offseason – not bad.

Ohtani won’t pitch in 2024, but he’ll slot into the lineup alongside Betts and Freeman to form the most feared trio perhaps in MLB history.

The Dodgers have all the talent in the world, but that doesn’t equal championship rings. They’ve won the NL West all but one year since 2012, and have one World Series ring to show for it (which came behind closed doors after a 60-game season in 2020).

Arizona Diamondbacks +800

The team that knocked the Dodgers out of the playoffs last season, the D’backs are the latest example of how quickly an MLB team’s fortunes can change.

Arizona had just one playoff appearance since 2011 before last season, when they went all the way to the World Series before losing to the Texas Rangers.

2023 NL Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll could emerge into a superstar this season, if he wasn’t already, while Zac Gallen is one of the favorites to win NL Cy Young.

San Diego Padres +1000

One of the MLB’s most polarizing teams in recent years, the Padres missed the playoffs in 2023 despite having one of the highest payrolls in baseball.

They lost one of their premier players with Juan Soto traded to the Yankees, but Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado and Xander Bogaerts remain at the top of the lineup – a fearsome trio to say the least.

San Diego also lost key arms Blake Snell and Josh Hader this offseason. This seems like a roster in transition, but with the talent they still possess, it wouldn’t be wise to count out the Padres just yet.

San Francisco Giants +1000

If it wasn’t already apparent, a new era of Giants baseball is here.

It’s been 10 years since they won a third World Series in five years. It’s been three years since their incredible franchise-record 107-win season. Manager Gabe Kapler was fired this offseason, and replaced with former Padres manager Bob Melvin.

Not to mention new free agent acquisitions Matt Chapman, Jorge Soler, and Jung Hoo Lee will fill out San Fran’s new-look lineup

After a few subpar years, the Giants have the tools to put together a run at the playoffs this season.

Colorado Rockies +15000

The Rockies have the longest odds to win their division of any MLB team bar the Oakland Athletics.

Nothing about Colorado’s recent history indicates they will be anywhere near the top of the division. They lost 103 games last year, 94 the year before that, and 87 the year before that.

Since being founded in 1993, the Rockies have yet to win the NL West.
