2024 Copa America: Top Goalscorer Odds

Teams from both South and North America will compete in the 2024 Copa America, providing a larger number of players who could make an impact in the summer tournament.

Founded in 1916, Copa America started as a competition between South American teams before organizers began inviting teams from other continents and allowing North American teams to qualify for the tournament.

Perennial powers Brazil and reigning World Cup winners Argentina highlight the field, and they'll be joined by eight other South American teams and six North American teams.

While players from Argentina and Brazil sit atop the top goalscorer market, there are a few intriguing dark horse candidates joining them.

Lionel Messi is the unsurprising favorite to lead all Copa America players in goals scored at +300. The Argentine attacker accomplished that feat at the last Copa America in 2021 where he scored four goals.

Second in the market is Brazil winger Vinicius Jr. at +400. He only has three international goals in 28 games, but he tends to show up in big moments for his club team, Real Madrid, where he has scored 23 goals in 37 games in all competitions this season.

Argentina forward Julian Alvarez is third in the odds at +600 and teammate and fellow forward Lautaro Martinez follows him at +800. Alvarez scored 16 goals in 51 games for Manchester City in all competitions while Martinez scored 27 goals in 44 games while serving as captain for his club, Inter Milan.

Brazil's Rodrygo is also +800 to finish the tournament with the most goals. This season was his first time finishing with double-digit goals in any competition, scoring 10 in Spain's La Liga. Like Brazil and Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo shows up in big moments.

Gabriel Martinelli, another Brazilian forward, has the sixth-shortest odds to lead Copa America in goals at +1100. Playing for the club Arsenal, Martinelli's six Premier League goals this season were a far cry from his 15 in 2022/23, but he'll have a point to prove after losing his starting spot near the end of the season.

Endrick, a 17-year-old attacker with two goals in four senior appearances for Brazil, is +1900, followed by Brazil teammate and FC Barcelona winger Raphinha at +2100.

The players not on Brazil or Argentina to have the shortest odds in this market are Colombian forwards Jhon Cordoba and Mateo Cassierra each at +2400. Cordoba scored 14 goals in 26 league matches for Krasnodar in Russia this season while Cassierra 21 goals in 27 games for a different Russian club, Zenit.

Following Cordoba and Cassierra in the odds are Uruguayan attackers Facundo Pellistri at +2400 and Brian Rodriguez at +3400.

Colombia's Luis Diaz, the joint-top scorer in the 2021 Copa America, is also +3400 while United States captain and winger Christian Pulisic is +4000, the shortest odds of any player from the United States.
