Our resident boxing expert Rob Tebbutt is backing 13/8 underdog Chantelle Cameron to cause an upset against female boxing icon Katie Taylor in Dublin this weekend.
This weekend we'll see the return of Ireland's biggest star, Katie Taylor, as she faces Chantelle Cameron for the undisputed super-lightweight titles.
It is the first time Taylor will fight as a professional in her homeland of Ireland. with Chantelle Cameron going into the lion's den against a living legend of female boxing.
However, Cameron has all of the physical advantages over Taylor, she's in good form, and the Irishwoman may be coming towards the end of her career.
Where is the value for this fight? I think the value is with the slight betting underdog Chantelle Cameron, who you can get at 5/2 to win via 'Decision/Technical Decision'.
I think it's going to be a very close fight, and therefore a 'Split Decision' win for either fighter (9/2 for Taylor and 17/2 for Cameron) could be a shrewd bet for this one.
The natural pedigree of Taylor over the years and the fact she's used to dealing with the big occasion could be an important factor, but ultimately I I think Cameron will be too big, fresh and strong, and I can see her squeaking home a points victory on the night.
