The curtain comes down on the Women's Super League season on Saturday and there are still issues to be settled at both ends of the table.

Chelsea are looking to secure the title after taking a big leap towards their goal with a 2-0 victory over Arsenal last week, but Manchester United are lying in wait in case there are any slip-ups.

At the other end of the Women's Super League table it is a straight fight between Reading and Leicester to avoid falling into the Championship and being replaced by Bristol City next season.

Chelsea firmly in charge of title race

They have just found one team too good for them this season, as Chelsea have inflicted their two league defeats, something which was compounded by the Wembley loss, and they should be confident about keeping their half of the bargain at Liverpool.

The Red Devils beat Liverpool 6-0 in the reverse fixture in January and they are 1/11 to take all three points, while the Reds, who start the final day in sixth spot, are at 22/1.

That could prove to be quite a generous price considering that in recent weeks Liverpool have suffered a 2-1 defeat to a late goal against Chelsea, beaten Manchester City in their most recent home game and earned a decent 3-3 draw at Aston Villa.

It would take a dramatic collapse from Arsenal against Villa and a hefty win for Manchester City against Everton to prevent the Gunners from taking their places in next season’s Champions League qualifiers.

Arsenal are 1/4 to win that game, but they will have to keep an eye on Villa striker Rachel Daly, who has finished the season in storming fashion.

The Lioness has notched eight goals in her last four matches to take herself to the top of the league's scoring charts with 21 and she will be looking to reward Villa backers at 7/1 as they look to end a decent season with a bang.

Everton are 12/1 to cause a shock against Gareth Taylor’s City, who are 1/10 to complete their league programme with a victory.

Reading look up against it

Bottom-of-the-table Reading have it all to do to avoid relegation as, with a two-point gap to make up on Leicester, they have no option but to beat table-topping Chelsea.

The Royals are 40/1 to do so, but they have been here before and will look to take something from the fact they beat the Blues at home last season, claiming a 1-0 success thanks to an early goal from Deanne Rose.

They have been poor for the second half of the season, though, losing ten of their last 12 matches and their 2-1 defeat to Leicester on 2nd April looks to have done for them, particularly as the Foxes went on to beat Liverpool 4-0 in their next match.

The Foxes can, however, still be caught and they have lost their last three matches against Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham and their away record is poor.

A victory at Liverpool has been the only game of their ten on the road that they have earned anything from and just three of their paltry 14 goals they have scored this season have come on their travels.

They are 9/4 to win at Brighton, who are three points above Leicester and have won just two of their last nine games. The Seagulls can be backed at 1/1.
