The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained Ayrton will have his second-up run of the campaign when he contests the Hollindale Stakes on the Gold Coast.
Rob Norton of Roll The Dice Racing has admitted the wet track is an unknown for their star galloper, with the gelding a 11/2 chance to win the Group 2 contest against the likes of this season's All-Star Mile winner Zaaki (3/5).
The four-year-old produced a very pleasing performance in his return win in the Victoria Handicap over 1400 metres at Caulfield after suffering a life-threatening spider bite last spring.
"We were thrilled with the first-up win, it was probably a little bit unexpected off one trial," Norton told Racing.com.
"The performance was unreal I thought, he beat a pretty good field. It's well documented he was a very sick horse, so just to get him back healthy and back racing was a huge thrill for the ownership group."

"In terms of the wet deck, it's always an unknown. He is a Kiwi horse, but they don't necessarily handle it and he's going to have to do that.
"If it (the track) can improve back into the Soft range that's good for us, but I think we'll run regardless.
"He had a gallop this morning on the synthetic, it was good work and he's nice and sound. His work was good; he had a healthy blow and he recovered quickly."
