New Zealand Warriors assistant coach Justin Morgan says they will have to be on their guard when then come up against some familiar faces on Friday night.
The Warriors face the Cowboys and Morgan is expecting a tough encounter when they come up against a host of former players.
Chad Townsend, Peta Hiku and Jamayne Taunoa-Brown all used to play for the Warriors but will be lining up in a new-look Cowboys side that has started the 2022 NRL campaign well.
The Cowboys are 2-2 for the season and the trio are one of the reasons Todd Payten’s side are surprising one or two people.

They have over 150 appearances for the Warriors between them and Morgan says they know exactly what to expect.
"Certainly the style that he (Townsend) plays you can see that he's implemented that on the Cowboys," he said on Thursday. "He's very much the orchestrator of their team, directs them around the field.
"Peta with his nouse and his late offloading ability, they pose a different type of threat to the Broncos but they're going to be a real challenge for us."
Meanwhile Scott Drinkwater will slot in at fullback to replace Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and teammate Valentine Holmes is backing him to do a stellar job.
