Melbourne are set to welcome back Jack Viney from a hamstring issue when they take on Fremantle at the MCG on Friday.
Melbourne are priced at 7/5 to go back-to-back and win another premiership in the 2022 AFL campaign and have started it in blistering fashion when winning every game.
There had been concerns over Viney after he pulled out of last week’s win over North Melbourne with a hamstring issue but it was just a precaution and the player is fit and ready to face the Dockers.
Coach Simon Goodwin has confirmed Viney is going well and is in line to face the fourth-placed Dockers.
Richmond could go small against Swans
“'Vines' is raring to go,” Goodwin told reporters “He was knocking on the door on Monday. He was a little bit tight in the hamstring heading into last week’s game, so we didn’t want to risk him.
“But come Monday he was raring to go, so he’ll train fully today and we’re expecting him to be suiting up (on Saturday).”
Meanwhile the Demons have also been boosted by the news Ed Langdon is set to take his place in the side after recovering from a rib injury picked up against the Kangaroos.
“He’s getting better day by day, so we’ll give him right up until game time,” Goodwin added.
“We’ll give him a good test over the next few days and see where he’s at. We certainly won’t take a risk with him, if he’s sore at any stage, we won’t play him, but he’s progressed well over the past 24 hours.”
