Tottenham will look to bounce back from a miserable week when hosting rivals West Ham on Sunday, and we have a number of boosted prices for the clash.
The absent Antonio Conte, recovering from gallbladder surgery, won’t have enjoyed his side’s follow-up to their 1-0 win over Manchester City, with Spurs falling to a miserable 4-1 defeat at Leicester, before going down 1-0 to Milan in the San Siro.
Only Newcastle’s stumbles in recent weeks have stopped them closing off the top four to the chasing pack, with Tottenham still available at 9/4, but they’ll require serious improvement, not to mention consistency, if they are to overtake the Magpies.
Spurs put a decent run of results together with 17 points from their first seven games, but they’ve failed to win three in a row all season – something they managed four times last season, including once under Nuno Espirito Santo.
It’s seen them fall out of the top four, and their post-World Cup form is particularly alarming, having drawn with Brentford, and lost to Aston Villa, Arsenal, Manchester City and Leicester, and West Ham would love nothing more than to put another dent in their Champions League hopes on Sunday.

It’s been a similarly underwhelming season for the Hammers, at least by the recent standards set under David Moyes. West Ham have twice finished in the European places, but found themselves as one of a number of sides battling relegation, and at 11/2 for the drop, they’re still not clear.
Since the win at Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa back in August, the Irons have drawn three and lost six of their nine games on the road, and there’s no better venue to buck that trend than the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Nobody has been more symbolic of West Ham’s disappointing campaign than Jarrod Bowen, who’s dropped from 13 and 22 goal contributions in his last two seasons to just five this campaign. He’s a player who’s largely followed his xG since moving to the Premier League, though both his xG and xA are above his actual tallies, so don’t be surprised to see the winger adding to both tallies in the next few weeks.
Another player performing a long way below his usual level is Son Heung-min. The last three seasons saw him surpass 20 goal contributions (reaching 30 last season), while this season he languishes miles back on just seven.
Harry Kane hasn’t been his usual creative self, with just one assist, but his 17 goals are as many as Tottenham’s next five highest scorers combined, and if Spurs are to push for Champions League football, they’ll need more from the supporting cast, starting with Son.
