This Week's Sport: Winter transfer window slams shut

The January transfer window closes this week and there's likely to be a scramble to get deals over the line ahead of Tuesday's deadline.

There's also action on the field to enjoy with the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Premier League featuring over the course of the week.

The Six Nations gets underway on Saturday but defending champions France don't start their campaign until Sunday.

As the build-up to Cheltenham continues, horse racing fans can take in some top-quality action from Leopardstown on Saturday and Sunday, with the Irish Gold Cup up for grabs and, as always, you can watch every race on bet365's Sports Live Streaming.

The DP World Tour heads to the United Arab Emirates, while the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is also on the agenda and you can follow those events on the Live Golf Tracker.

OddsDerby 7/2, Draw 11/4, West Ham 4/5

League One Derby host Premier League outfit West Ham in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Monday.

The Rams have only lost three or their 25 outings inside 90 minutes since Paul Warne took charge in September, including a goalless draw at Liverpool in the EFL Cup before they lost the tie on penalties.

West Ham may feel this game is an unwanted distraction as they battle against relegation in the Premier League, sitting just a point and two places clear of the drop zone.

Derby, who have avoided defeat in their last nine at home across all competitions, can be backed at 7/2 To Win and they offer good value at 19/20 in the Double Chance market.

Newcastle welcome Southampton back to St James' Park after earning a 1-0 victory in last week's first-leg of this EFL Cup semi-final tie at St Mary's.

That victory, which came thanks to a Joelinton strike, extended Newcastle's unbeaten streak across all competitions to four matches and they've only lost one of their last 20.

They are yet to taste defeat at home in 2022/23 and will be confident of completing the job against Southampton.

Newcastle lead the way for clean sheets in all competitions across Europe's top five leagues this term, picking up 16, and a Win To Nil offers value at 6/5.

Marcus Rashford netted his 18th goal of the season to get United up and running at the City Ground before Wout Weghorst and Bruno Fernandes chipped in.

OddsChelsea 4/7, Draw 3/1, Fulham 9/2

Due to a third-round exit in the FA Cup, Chelsea return to action on Friday in their first outing since drawing 0-0 with Liverpool on 21st January.

That extended break will have been warmly welcomed by Graham Potter as he looks to try and start picking up wins on a consistent basis.

Chelsea have only tasted victory once in their last six outings and just twice in the last 10 fixtures across all competitions.

They fell to a 2-1 defeat at Fulham during that sequence and will be desperate to atone for that performance when the Cottagers make the short trip across west London.

Fulham sit three places and two points above the Blues in the standings, but they haven't recorded a victory at Stamford Bridge since 1964.

Each of the last three editions of this fixture have ended 2-0 in Chelsea's favour and a fourth successive triumph by that scoreline can be backed at 7/1.

Premier League leaders Arsenal feature in the 12:30 kick off in the top-flight on Saturday when they travel to strugglers Everton.

Arsenal saw a seven-game unbeaten streak ended when going down 1-0 at Manchester City in the FA Cup but should bounce back against the relegation-threatened Toffees, who parted company with Frank Lampard after losing to West Ham last time out.

There are five games scheduled for 15:00 with Aston Villa hosting Leicester, Southampton heading to Brentford, Bournemouth travelling along the coast to Brighton, Manchester United welcoming Crystal Palace to Old Trafford and Wolves entertaining Liverpool.

Champions League hopefuls Newcastle feature in the 17:30 kick off when West Ham make the long trip north to St James' Park.

France ended a 12-year wait for Six Nations glory when they completed a Grand Slam last year.

Les Bleus haven't won back-to-back titles since 2006/07 but there's plenty of reason for optimism as they ride into the competition on the back of a 13-game unbeaten streak.

Italy are their first opponents, with Sunday's clash at the Stadio Olimpico scheduled for 15:00, and the Azzurri also have a right to feel positive.

Head coach Kieran Crowley has overseen major improvements for a nation often ending up as the whipping boys in this competition.

Italy snapped a 36-game losing streak to sign off last year's Six Nations with a win over Wales and they went on to beat Samoa and Australia in the autumn.
