The final game of the Premier League weekend sees West Ham host Bournemouth, who are two points better off than the Hammers, at the London Stadium.

Both sides lost 1-0 in their most recent game - West Ham going down to Liverpool while the Cherries were beaten at home by Southampton - so both will be hoping to bounce back on Monday night.

It's matchday five in the Champions League this week with Chelsea among the clubs hoping to seal their passage to the round of 16.

Graham Potter has made a great start as Blues boss and Chelsea will progress from Group E if they beat RB Salzburg on Tuesday or if they draw and AC Milan beat Dinamo Zagreb in the other game.

Manchester City are also in action on Tuesday having already secured their place in the knockout stage from Group G.

Pep Guardiola's side, who are 3/5 to win, will be confirmed in first place if they avoid defeat against Borussia Dortmund in Germany, who are also hoping to seal their last-16 spot.

The Bundesliga giants will be through to the round of 16 if they win, which is on offer at 4/1, or if they draw (16/5) and Copenhagen do not win against Sevilla, or if the Sevilla Copenhagen clash in Spain ends in a draw.

Celtic already know they cannot reach the round of 16, but will remain in contention for third place and a spot in the Europa League if they beat Shakhtar Donetsk at home in Group F.

Wednesday 26th October

Cricket: Ireland next up for England

England's opening T20 World Cup match ended in a five-wicket victory over Afghanistan on Saturday and they will be after a second win when they play Ireland at the MCG in Melbourne, which is due to start at 05:00.

Ireland advanced to the Super 12s stage after finishing second in Group B but lost to Sri Lanka by nine wickets on Sunday.

England are 9/4 to win the tournament, while Ireland are way out at 500/1.

Football: Liverpool hoping to progress

Liverpool suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday and will be hoping to bounce back on Wednesday when they go to Amsterdam to face Ajax in the Champions League.

The Reds will be through to the round of 16 if they avoid defeat, while the Dutch giants will be unable to reach the knockout round if they do not win.

Jurgen Klopp's side won the reverse fixture at Anfield 2-1 earlier on in the campaign.

Meanwhile, after last week's 7-1 defeat to the Reds, Rangers are unable to reach the round of 16, but can still finish third and make the Europa League, although they will need a positive result against already-qualified Napoli in Italy.

The Serie A outfit have won their first four games in Group A and are 1/4 to make it five from five.

Like Chelsea and Liverpool, Tottenham can also safely secure a last-16 place with a game to spare if they beat Sporting Lisbon at home.

Antonio Conte's side will also be confirmed as group winners if they win and Marseille lose against Eintracht Frankfurt in the other Group D tie, and Spurs are 4/9 for the victory.

Thursday 27th October

Football: United aim to lay down the law

Manchester United will hope to keep their hopes of finishing top of Europa League Group E alive by beating Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford on Thursday.

United, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday, are 1/9 to win and the draw is 15/2.

Arsenal, who have already secured a top-two finish in Group A after four wins from four, go to PSV Eindhoven and are 13/10 to win. A victory for the Dutch side is 7/4 and the draw is 13/5.

Also on Thursday, West Ham are back in Europa Conference League action having already qualified for the knockout stage.

The Hammers play Silkeborg at home and are 2/5 to win, a draw is 15/4 and an away win for the Danish side is 6/1.

Friday 28th October

Cricket: Australia and England clash

Hosts Australia entertain England in a mouth-watering T20 World Cup T20 in Melbourne on Friday morning, with the action set to get under way at 09:00.

The Aussies, who lost to New Zealand on Saturday, are 11/2 to win the tournament for a second successive time.

Football: Championship leaders go to Birmingham

The main Friday football action comes from St Andrew's when Birmingham City host leaders QPR in the Championship.

Rangers beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 on Saturday to stay ahead of Blackburn Rovers on goal difference at the top of the second tier and they will be hoping for a win over John Eustace's side, who are down in 15th place.

Saturday 29th October

Rugby League: England host Greece

England have won their first two matches in the Rugby League World Cup and they should make it three from three when they face Greece in Pool A on Saturday at Bramall Lane.

The tournament hosts are 6/1 to win the World Cup, behind Australia (4/9) and New Zealand (4/1).

Football: Eight games on Premier League agenda

It's a busy day in the English top-flight on Saturday when eight games take place, including Leicester City's home match with champions Manchester City at 12:30, before five games at 15:00.

Amongst them is a reunion for Graham Potter at Brighton when he takes his Chelsea side to the Amex Stadium, while the 17:30 kick-off is Fulham at home to Everton and the 19:45 game sees Liverpool host Leeds United.

Sunday 30th October

Football: Gunners host Forest

Arsenal are at home to Nottingham Forest in one of two Premier League games on Sunday - the Emirates clash kicks off at 14:00, before Manchester United entertain West Ham at 16:15.

Formula 1: Mexican GP beckons

The Mexican Grand Prix is among the sporting highlights on Sunday, when the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City hosts the 20th race of the 2022 season.

Max Verstappen, who has already wrapped up the world title this year, won the event in 2021 finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton and local favourite Sergio Perez.
