There are only three games in La Liga on Saturday, but two of them have massive implications for a pair of Spanish giants fighting for survival at the wrong end of the table.

Sevilla and Valencia, two of Spain's powerhouses, are struggling to stay out of the relegation zone.

Both have home fixtures on Saturday - Sevilla against Mallorca, Valencia against Athletic Bilbao - and are desperate for three precious points.

Valencia are in such a crisis right now that Athletic Bilbao, visitors to the Mestalla on Saturday, look all over the bet.

The Basques, not exactly flying but buoyant after thumping Cadiz 4-1 last time out, have already beaten Valencia twice this season.

The first of those was 1-0 in La Liga in Bilbao and then two weeks ago they visited Valencia in the Copa del Rey and won 3-1.

Since then everything has changed at Valencia, with Italian head coach Gennaro Gattuso leaving and career caretaker Voro coming in yet again to try to steady the ship.

Under Voro it's played two, lost two, no goals scored and he almost raised the white flag after last weekend's abject 1-0 loss in Girona. That defeat has prompted boardroom talks over a more permanent interim boss, all of which just adds to the unsettled feeling at a club on the ropes.

Gabriel Paulista and Hugo Guillamon are suspended for Los Che for whom it never rains but it pours, while Inaki Williams looks like he will be fit to return to pep up the Athletic frontline and the visitors are 7/5 to secure a win on the road.

Sevilla are also in the mire, though unlike Valencia they are at least on an upward curve having won three of their last five.

They were thumped 3-0 at Barcelona last time out but their fate won't be determined by results against the title favourites, instead by performances against teams like Mallorca, who they meet on Saturday.

And having won their last three at home there will doubtless be some interest in the Andalucians at 10/11 - except that Mallorca give virtually nothing away.

The Palma squad have only scored 16 goals in 20 games, but have only conceded 18, a better defensive record than third-placed Real Sociedad.

Last week they beat Real Madrid 1-0, their ninth match this season which has yielded either a win or loss by a 1-0 scoreline.

It's 8/15 that both teams do not score which, when you consider that both teams haven't scored in each of Mallorca's last 12, probably isn't as skinny as it first appears.

With so little given away in Mallorca matches, the draw at 11/5 looks the major runner in this match.

Almeria's rock-solid home form can ensure they get something from their clash with Real Betis.

Rubi's side have won six out of ten at their Power Horse Stadium bolthole and drawn 1-1 with Atletico Madrid.

The coach has got a refresh on the right-hand side to consider with Luca Robertone and Leo Baptistao both suspended, but those tweaks won't alter the fact that Almeria are going to take some beating and Draw No Bet at 1/1 looks a decent prospect.

It isn't as though Betis are flying. Manuel Pellegrini's men have tumbled out of the top six on the back of three defeats in their last four, culminating in last Saturday's hugely disappointing 4-3 home reverse against Celta Vigo.

Pellegrini has a refit through the spine of the side to undergo, with centre-back Luiz Felipe, central midfielder William Carvalho and No.10 Nabil Fekir all suspended.

A footnote - a red card in the match is a 3/1 chance, which may look short, but bear in mind that Betis have earned a mind-boggling ten red cards this season already.
