Australian Racing - Racing: Passive Aggressive to keep winning

It's a busy Saturday of racing action ahead with 13 major meetings scheduled to take place across Australia.

They include action from Belmont, Rosehill Gardens and Flemington and we've got a couple of fancies to look out for as the weekend kicks in.

Passive Aggressive will look to maintain a perfect record for Grahame Begg in the A.R. Creswick Stakes at Flemington.

Passive Aggressive ready for more

A good card on what is forecast to be a Heavy 8 track at Flemington and the A.R. Creswick Stakes looks something of a duel between Passive Aggressive for Grahame Begg and the Clinton McDonald runner Star Patrol.

The latter is bidding for a four-timer and won nicely at this track last month, sitting on the heels of the leader before kicking clear in the home stretch for another taking display. He's shown his ability to cope with expectation when favourite and may top the betting again now. Those recent wins have come on good ground and this track will be slower.

He's also set to run into unbeaten contender Passive Aggressive now. The Fastnet Rock filly is already three-from-three in her short career and has looked professional in everything she does.

She has been away from the starting stalls in style each time and shown a high cruising speed in her wins at Pakenham and this track last time, winning her three race at 1100-1200 metres.

The distance here is fine and she has already won twice on soft going, ensuring conditions are no worry. This is a rise in class as she bids to grab the $160,000 top prize, but she looks ready for it and will be a hard nut to crack if once more getting out on the lead from stall six. She's taken to end the winning streak of Star Patrol.

Lady Of Luxury to get Rosehill win

Bjorn Baker's Lady Of Luxury is a four-year-old performing at the top of her game right now and she and finally get her win at Rosehill Gardens.

She has placed three times at this venue already, including on her last two starts. In May, she didn't get the best of starts, taking a bump out of the stalls and this month she was forced to challenge from further back than ideal, running on late for a close third behind Chris Waller's Niffler.

This time around she's drawn in barrier one and that can help Tim Clark to adopt a positive position from the get-go. Winner of five races from a dozen starts this preparation, everything may fall into place for Lady Of Luxury in this 1300 metre handicap after a couple of frustrating near misses at the New South Wales venue in recent weeks.
