Macarthur boss Ante Milicic felt his side deserved something from the game as the Bulls slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Adelaide United on Friday night.
Macarthur are priced at 9/1 to win the A-League grand final this season and Milicic took heart from the way they played during the clash at Coopers’ Stadium.
Missed chances
The Bulls were the better team in the first half with Jack McGing and Apostolos Giannou both going close but it was Adelaide who took the lead on the stroke of half-time.
Socceroos ace Craig Goodwin whipped in a cross and there was Hiroshi Ibusuki to head the ball home at the far post.

Macarthur also had chances after the break with Ulises Davila going close to grabbing a late equaliser.
"I thought we did well, I thought we deserved something from the game,"Milicic said. "We definitely created better chances, better quality chances (but) in the end conceded at the worst possible time."
Travel chaos
Meanwhile Milicic also revealed they were not helped by a tough build-up to the game.
"I think the game was as frustrating as our trip to Adelaide," he added. "With yesterday getting delayed for five or six hours, the gear not turning up, Sydney Airport was very busy, and it was very challenging.
"We got in late, bags went missing, we had to buy eight pairs of boots for the players, so it was a tough preparation. We were stuck at the airport for six, seven hours and then by the time we got in, it was very late.
"But, no excuses. All teams have had it tough this year with the travel and the situation."
