Luis Alberto Lopez has a record of 27 wins and two defeats from his 29 professional fights.
The Deer, as Lopez is known, picked up the biggest win of his career when getting the better of Josh Warrington by majority decision in December last year in front of Warrington’s home crowd in Leeds.
15 of Lopez’s 27 victories have come by knockout, while both of his losses have come on the judge’s scorecards.
Those defeats were to Ruben Villa for the vacant WBO International featherweight title in the United States in 2019 and to Abraham Montoya in a bout for the Mexican Pacific Coast super featherweight title in March 2018.
Michael Conlan has a professional record of 18 wins and one loss from his 19 professional fights.
The Irishman had an impressive amateur record, winning bronze at the 2012 Olympic and then gold at the 2015 World Championships before going on to turn professional.
Nine of Conlan’s 18 wins have come by way of knockout and his one loss was also by this route.
His only defeat came at the hands of Leigh Wood in March 2022, losing out on the WBA (Regular) featherweight title in the process.
That bout was voted ESPN’s Fight of the Year, with Conlan ahead on all scorecards before being knocked out in the 12th round.
Conlan has bounced back well from that, with impressive back-to-back victories over Miguel Marriaga and Karim Guerfi, the latest of which came in December last year.
There are no definite fights confirmed for the undercard of this bout between Luis Alberto Lopez and Michael Conlan.
However, IBO super-featherweight champion Anthony Cacace will box in his home city of Belfast for the first time since 2015 with his opponent yet to be determined.
Padraig McCrory will also fight on the bill, in a super-middleweight WBA title eliminator, although again his opponent is yet to be confirmed.
