Melbourne are hoping Luke Jackson will resist the temptation to return to Perth and will instead continue his development with them for seasons to come.
The Demons are priced at 3/1 to back-up their 2021 flag success by winning the grand final this season, and they see Jackson as a big part of their future plans.
However Jackson is from Perth and there has been plenty of talk regards both the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle trying to lure him back to the west at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old will then be out of contract but the Demons will be doing all they can to secure him to fresh terms.

Jackson played a huge role in the Demons breaking their 57-year premiership drought and his potential also isn’t lost on his teammates.
Alex Neal-Bullen is a huge admirer of the player who arrived as pick No.3 in the 2019 NAB AFL draft and hopes he will be on board for years to come.
"He's someone who has a huge impact on our culture as a footy club and to have him a long-term Melbourne player, I think everyone would love that," Neal-Bullen told reporters on Monday.
"He's got an exciting future ahead of him, and we hope that's in the red and blue.
"His ability to stand up in big moments and that's a great partnership him and Maxy Gawn have now. With Jacko, the energy he brings to the team is something that lifts everyone else up around him."
