Carlton have secured the future of midfielder Matt Kennedy who has penned a three-year contract extension with the club.
The Blues are priced at 1/2 to finish in the top eight of the AFL this season and Kennedy has been instrumental in a solid start to the 2022 campaign.
Kennedy has been in impressive form so far this season and after producing career-best figures, the Blues were keen to reward him for his efforts. He has averaged 25.1 disposals, 11.4 contested possessions and 5.1 clearances per game.
The midfielder was due to fall out of contract at the end of the season but the extension now means he will stay on board until at least the end of the 2025 campaign.

Kennedy, who will make his 5oth appearance this weekend, is delighted with the contract but admits the timing of it has come a bit out of the blue.
"It's nice to get it done," Kennedy told AFL.com.au. "To be honest, I was actually in a little bit of shock when they mentioned they were looking to re-sign me.
“I was just looking to play consistent footy and hopefully get another one-year deal at the end of the year. That's how I thought I was tracking.
"I feel like it's a big confidence-booster for myself and from the club to back me in for three more years and to want to get it done early. I'm very grateful for the club to give me that opportunity."
