Trainer-driver Colin Brown is expecting a strong performance from Arma Einstein when his charge takes to the track at Gloucester Park on Friday night.
The four-year-old is set to contest the Budget Stockfeeds In Oakford Pace and will be the youngest runner in the race. But that does not scare Brown.
Brown pleased with form
Arma Einstein has 10 wins and 22 placings from his 50 races so far and put in a good performance last Friday when he finished fourth behind Ima Rockabilly Rebel despite getting in to trouble down the home straight.
Brown says he was pleased with the run and is hopeful heading in to this latest assignment. It was also his second run in the space of five days. He was second to Lord Rosco at Pinjarra the previous Monday

“I thought that he pulled up big after his Pinjarra run, and that’s why I buttered him up,” said Brown. “Normally, I don’t do it. But we have got him a lot stronger. Obviously, Distinguished Taste from barrier one will lead, and it might by the time to roll the dice, go forward and see if we can find a spot. We will be going forward to make our own luck.”
Main danger
One of the main threats could be Distinguished Taste who will be driven by Emily Suvaljko who has a clear plan for her charge.
“The plan will be to lead, but I think I will be taking an extra double grip on him this week and we won’t be going as fast,” she said.
