Canterbury Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett says it is crucial his players back-up their surprise win over the Sydney Roosters by beating a struggling Canberra side on Friday night.
The Bulldogs are priced at 91/100 to beat the Raiders and Barrett says his side need another win if they are to have any chance of climbing the ladder.
Canterbury were on a shocking run of form until they beat the Roosters. It was just their second win of the season and now they need another.
They have not won back-to-back games since 2019 and it is a streak they need to beat in the nation’s capital city.

"We haven't won back-to-back games for a while. So that's really important to us; to go down there and not only get a result but to perform well," Barrett told reporters on Wednesday.
"Look, we've got to back it up. If we want to propel ourselves up the table, we need to string back-to-back games together. Canberra in Canberra is always a challenge, a tough road trip, but we just need to put in a similar effort to last week."
The Bulldogs will be up against Adam Elliott for the first time since he left the club in controversial circumstances at the end of last season. He is getting his career back on track with the Raiders and Barrett is aware of what he can do.
"He won't say it but I guess he will have a point to prove," Barrett added. "He's doing a good job for them. He's a footballer, Adam, so he can play a number of positions.
"So he's one of many good players that we're going to have to look after and we're going to have to go down there with a really good attitude.”
