Davante Adams will reunite with his former college quarterback Derek Carr in Las Vegas after the Raiders sent first and second-round draft pick to Green Bay to snag the former Packers wide receiver.
The AFC West has become the scariest division in football during free agency with the 11/2 Raiders, 3/1 Denver Broncos and 11/4 Los Angeles Chargers all stockpiling talent in a bid to topple the 13/10 Kansas City Chiefs.
The Raiders might still have some work to do if their defense is to keep Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes off the field, but Carr now has a formidable set of weapons to work with on offense.
Packers wanted Adams to stay
Adams had said he wouldn't play under the franchise tag for the Packers, who were desperate to keep him for another year.
Green Bay's decision to prioritise Aaron Rodgers' contract situation cost them a ton of salary cap space and the scale of Adams' market value was fully realised when Las Vegas handed him a five-year, $141.25 million deal that will see him earn significantly more this year than he would have done under the tag.

Now the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history, Adams will assume the number one wideout role in an offense that already contains superstar tight end Darren Waller, Pro Bowl slot receiver Hunter Renfrow and running back Josh Jacobs, who set a franchise record for the most rushing yards in his first two NFL seasons.
Dream move
Adams' agents confirmed the Packers offered the wideout more money than the contract he'll receive from the Raiders, but it was the 29-year-old's lifelong dream to play for the Silver and Black.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Adams recently purchased a house "right next to his new QB" as he reunites with his former Fresno State teammate Carr in Sin City.
