Steve Freeth, Kelly Somers and Sam Matterface have their say on Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final meeting between Manchester City and Burnley, with former City captain Vincent Kompany returning to the Etihad as manager of the Clarets.
Vincent Kompany will receive a hero's welcome on Saturday as he prepares to take on his former mentor Pep Guardiola in the dugout as manager of high-flying Championship leaders Burnley in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup against Manchester City.
The 36-year-old Belgian, who won four Premier League titles during a decorated 11-year stay at the Etihad, has enjoyed a remarkable debut season as a manager in English football since taking the reins at Burnley after departing Anderlecht last summer.
The Clarets, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have dominated this Championship season pretty much from start to finish.
Acquiring a host of new recruits who have gelled together in stunning fashion under Kompany and his assistant Craig Bellamy, Burnley are currently 13 points clear at the top of the table as they race towards an immediate return to the top flight.
A trip to face reigning Premier League champions Manchester City will give the Championship's champions elect a taste of what to expect next season, with a daunting trip to the Etihad undoubtedly one of the most testing away assignments in English football.
The charismatic Kompany will no doubt relish the opportunity to pit his wits against one of the finest coaches the sport has ever seen in his old gaffer Guardiola in what remains the early stages of his own promising management career, but it appears a tough ask for his Burnley side to tame the Catalan's swashbuckling City beast.
Both teams are programmed to play front-foot attacking football, which should allow for an open cup tie at the Etihad with Burnley seeking a first FA Cup semi-final place since 1961 whilst the Citizens seek to end a four-year winless run in the competition.
