WATCH: Steve Freeth on Newcastle, Arsenal and the relegation battle

The Premier League returned after a six-week break for the World Cup, with some sides picking up where they left off and others stopping the rot.

Arsenal, despite the injury to Gabriel Jesus, managed to put three past West Ham after falling behind to continue their title challenge, while Newcastle scored three in little over half an hour against a Leicester side that had conceded one goal - against Manchester City - in their last six, strengthening their top-four credentials.

Darwin Nunez continued to cut a frustrated figure in front of goal against Aston Villa, but he continues to get himself into scoring positions, and surely it's a matter of time before the goals come.

Wolves, meanwhile, secured an invaluable three points against relegation rivals Everton to move off the foot of the table and out to 6/4 for the drop

Steve Freeth discusses the latest round of Premier League fixtures.
