Thursday's card is headlined by the Ascot Gold Cup, where the likes of Eldar Eldarov, Coltrane and Subjectivist are battling it out for glory.

Pat Cooney's verdict - He was a particularly impressive winner last time out at Doncaster, he has a progressive profile and the step up in trip should suit him.

Pat Cooney's verdict - A hugely impressive filly when she won at Goodwood last time out. She caught the eye of a lot of people when she quickened up throughout the race. She's got the raw talent to her name, she might just be the best three-year-old filly in Europe.

4:20 - Gold Cup
Current odds: 9/2
Pat Cooney's verdict - He won the St Leger and he made a real satisfactory reappearance at the Dante meeting. He's the highest-rated horse in the race and he's open to further improvement.
