The festive season is always a standout on the racing calendar, marking roughly the halfway point between the start of the Jumps season and the Cheltenham Festival.
There is the Welsh Grand National on 27th December and the Leopardstown Christmas Festival which features plenty of Grade 1 racing, but the highlight of the festive period - and indeed one of the highlights of the National Hunt calendar - is the King George VI Chase from Kempton on Boxing Day.
The 2022 renewal will see 15/8 shots Bravemansgame and L'homme Presse face off, looking to join the likes of Arkle, Desert Orchid and five-time winner Kauto Star as King George winners.
But they will face stiff competition from Hitman (9/2) and Envoi Allen (7/1).
"It's a fabulous looking line-up, isn't it? The market is very close between L'Homme Presse and Bravemansgame. A popular ante-post has been Hitman and then you add in Envoi Allen, the Irish raider, a welcome addition to that race," said bet365's Pat Cooney.
The rescheduled Long Walk Hurdle also takes place on Boxing Day, with Champ the current 2/1 favourite ahead of 3/1 shots Miranda and Paisley Park.
