Kane’s superbly dispatched spot-kick on the stroke of half-time doubled England’s advantage following Rice’s opener, and established him as the all-time record scorer – surpassing the 53 goals that Wayne Rooney managed during his 15-year-long international career.
Well, we have priced the 29-year-old up at 8/15 to better Alan Shearer’s record tally of 260 and make him the 13/5 favourite to open the scoring in Sunday’s qualifier against Ukraine at Wembley Stadium - a fixture that Jude Bellingham will be hoping to shine in once more after impressing in Napoli.
