Ahead of West Ham's Europa Conference League Final against Fiorentina in Prague, Graham Hunter and Steve Freeth have given their thoughts on whether David Moyes gets the credit he deserves for his managerial ability.
Moyes guided West Ham to a record Premier League points total in the first full season of his second spell in East London in 2020/21, with 65 points.
That sixth-placed finish secured qualification for the Europa League where they got to the semi-finals, accompanied by a seventh-placed league finish.
2022/23 has seen many supporters call for a change at the London Stadium as West Ham flirted with the relegation zone for much of the season, before Moyes eventually steered his side comfortably to safety.
West Ham’s performances in the Europa Conference League have possibly kept Moyes in the job, and ahead of their final with Fiorentina, many believe that his future hinges on whether West Ham lift the trophy or not.
Moyes has also been linked to the vacant Celtic managerial position and we’ve priced him up at 6/1 to be the next man in at Celtic Park.
