Resident boxing expert Rob Tebbutt believes American star Regis Prograis will prove too hot to handle for Puerto Rico’s Danielito Zorrilla in New Orleans this weekend.
Over in the States, the two-time 140lbs world champion Regis Prograis returns to in-ring action as he defends his WBC super-lightweight title against Danielito Zorrilla.
If you don’t know, Zorrilla is a late replacement for the injured Australian Liam Parro, and I foresee a really difficult night for the Puerto Rican against arguably the number one operator in the 140lb division.
I expect Prograis to get the stoppage in the early hours of Sunday morning, but I don’t envisage him doing so early on in the fight.
I feel it will go a few rounds because Prograis doesn’t like to rush his work, so I’d be looking towards the second half of the fight, between ‘Rounds 7 – 12’, which is priced up at 11/8.
If you fancy him to flex his muscle and get Zorrilla out of there a little earlier, you could look at the 8/5 on offer for him to win by stoppage between ‘Round 5 – 8’, but for me I’d be giving myself a little more breathing room and taking ‘Rounds 7 – 12’ at 11/8.
Fight Outcome (5 Way):
Regis Prograis by Decision or Technical Decision
Was 9/2 >> Now 5/1
