Our resident boxing expert Rob Tebbutt looks ahead to Saturday night's women's IBF welterweight world title bout and picks out his best bets as Liverpool's Natasha Jonas bids to become a two-weight world champion.
Natasha Jonas, last year’s ‘Boxer of the Year’, faces off against Kandi Wyatt in Manchester this weekend for the vacant IBF welterweight world title.
Jonas is on a very hot run of form of recent, winning all of those belts up at super-welterweight, but this time drops down to the 147lb division as she looks to become a two weight world champion.
Wyatt is somebody that we have seen before against the likes of Jessica McCaskill and Christina Linardatou, but in both of those bouts she was stopped and looked pretty much out of her depth.
I do expect Natasha Jonas to add another stoppage loss to the Canadian’s résumé and pick up the IBF welterweight title on what should be another memorable occasion for the Liverpudlian.
My pick for this fight is for Jonas to secure the victory by 'KO, TKO or Disqualification', which is priced at 4/6.
