Pat Cooney has given us his thoughts ahead of one of the highlights of the Flat season, the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.
The race represents Britain's most prestigious open-age Flat race, with a total of over £700,000 going to the winner.
An illustrious roll of honour includes legendary equine stars such as Nijinsky, Mill Reef, Grundy, Shergar, Generous, Galileo and three-time champion Enable.
This year's renewal sees a stellar and hugely competitive field battle it out to add their names to the elite club.
Dual-Derby winner Auguste Rodin (3/1), who is currently joint-favourite for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, is set to go off as favourite, while King Of Steel (7/2), second in the Derby, also features prominently in the betting following his display at Royal Ascot.
With Coronation Cup champion Emily Upjohn (9/2), last year's winner Pyledriver (7/1) and Group 1 soft ground expert Hukum (4/1) for company, it has all the makings of a classic at Ascot.
Watch the video above to get the thoughts of Pat as he runs through the field.
