What appeared to be a closed shop a few weeks ago has seen Liverpool given a glimmer of hope that they can still sneak into the Champions League places.
It's been a hugely underwhelming season for Jurgen Klopp, with his future at the club even being called into question. While there have been injuries, it's not been nearly as bad as in 2020/21, and even then they finished third thanks to a rampaging run of form towards the end of the season.
The Reds are aiming to do the same this time, and a run of six straight wins while Manchester United have stumbled has forced the door ajar.
A month ago, Liverpool were eighth in the table, eight points behind Manchester United. Although they've played a game more, that gap is down to one point, and their rivals are falling over the line.
