Pat Cooney’s verdict – I loved her last year, she was a real winning machine. Last time she went to France and was fourth on testing ground, on a trip too short for her. She looks as though she's returning to form and I think she'll run a big race.

Pat Cooney’s verdict – He's only had the one run this season, and that was an excellent second at York in a very similar standard race. He moves up in trip but that's going to be a positive. His form is already good at the shorter trips and it's probably going to be even better at this trip.

3:35 - St Leger

Pat Cooney’s verdict – The one I like, and I keep thinking its a big price if it rains, is Chesspiece. I was at Glorious Goodwood when he was second over a shorter trip last time out, I spoke to connections and they said we're going to go for the St Leger.
This horse is much better on the softer ground and if it does rain, he's exactly the type of horse you want for the St Leger. A relentless galloper, he goes on the ground and stays well.
