bet365's resident boxing expert Rob Tebbutt provides his key insights and tips ahead of Liam Davies and Jason Cunningham's battle for the British and European Super Bantamweight titles.
This will be a good fight. Liam Davies is one of the most improved and probably underrated fighters in British boxing at the moment, and Jason Cunningham, although he did have a devastating stoppage loss to Zolani Tete a couple of fights ago, is a fighter in form.
Cunningham has picked up some good wins as an underdog in recent times, but I'm leaning towards Liam Davies in this fight. I think Davies is in good form, picking up a very good win over a solid campaigner in Ionut Baluta last time out.
I'm looking at Liam Davies to win on points at 4/6. It's a slightly short price, but I think Jason Cunningham is a very experienced and slippery customer, and Liam Davies is not known as a particularly big puncher, so I think he will get the job done over the 12 round distance.
But, if you are fancying Jason Cunningham in this one, and Cunningham has upset the apple cart in the past, you can get BOOSTED odds of 9/1 on him to win by Decision.
If you don't mind a short odds play, you can get the Fight to go the distance at 4/9.
For me, my bet for this one is Liam Davies by Decision at 4/6.
