Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, widely known as Bono, has established himself as an exceptional penalty-stopper, and his record at the World Cup is nearly flawless.
While Bono's reputation for saving spot-kicks was already well-known, his performances on the world's biggest stage have been extraordinary.
The former Sevilla keeper, who famously denied Roma from the spot in a Europa League final, recently thwarted Kylian Mbappé during a shootout against France. However, the French superstar is just the latest in a long line of players who have been bested by Bono from twelve yards.
Out of nine penalties taken against Bono during World Cup matches (including shootouts), an incredible four have been saved by the Moroccan keeper. Another three have either struck the woodwork or missed the target entirely.
This means that only two of the nine attempts have found the back of the net, highlighting the immense difficulty forwards face when trying to score against Morocco's formidable number one.
